Overview

A good bathroom does its job quietly. Water goes where it should, storage sits where you reach for it, and the light is kind at 6 in the morning. When any of that fails, you notice every day.

SeaGlass began as a showroom focused on kitchen and bath remodeling, and bathrooms remain at the heart of our work. Terry Booth, a Certified General Contractor, leads every project. Our own plumbers, electricians, tile setters and drywall installers handle as much of the work as possible, which matters in a room where so much depends on what happens behind the tile.

The same 3 levels of project apply here as in a kitchen. A bathroom can be refreshed with new surfaces, updated with a new vanity and countertop, or fully renovated with new plumbing and layout. Our kitchen remodeling page explains the difference in a section called Refresh, replacement or full renovation.

Design possibilities

Primary bathrooms often call for a larger shower, a freestanding tub or a double vanity with room for 2 people to get ready at once. Guest baths benefit from simple, durable choices that welcome visitors and seasonal family. A powder room is the place to be a little bolder with tile, paper or a statement sink.

We think about how you move through the room. A curbless or low threshold shower can make daily life easier and age well. Grab bars can be planned so they look intentional. Niches keep bottles off the floor, and a bench gives you somewhere to sit.

Lighting deserves care. Layered light at the mirror, overhead and sometimes in the shower makes a bathroom pleasant to use at any hour. Ventilation matters just as much in Southwest Florida, where humidity lingers.

In our showroom you can see full bath displays and compare vanities, tile, countertops and fixtures in person. Our designers work within your budget and help you decide where to invest.

Materials and craftsmanship

Bathrooms live with water every day, and in our climate the air carries moisture too. Material choices and installation matter as much as appearance.

Vanities can be custom built by SeaGlass or chosen from the cabinetry lines shown in our showroom. Our custom cabinetry page covers both. Countertops in quartz, solid surface or natural stone each have their own character and care needs, explained on our countertops and finishes page.

Tile is where craftsmanship is most visible. Even grout lines, cuts that land cleanly at corners and niches that align with the tile pattern all take patience. Underneath, proper waterproofing and slope to the drain are what keep a shower sound for years. Because our own tile setters and plumbers do this work, the same team answers for both.

How SeaGlass approaches a bathroom

We start with a free consultation. We talk through the existing room, ask how you use it and note anything that suggests hidden problems, such as soft floors or stained ceilings below.

Design and selections happen in our Bonita Springs showroom. You choose vanities, tile, countertops, fixtures and accessories with the materials in front of you, guided by designers who keep your budget in view.

During construction, Terry Booth manages the work and our in house trades carry it out. Outside specialists are brought in only when a particular expertise is required. Where the project changes plumbing, electrical or structure, permits are typically required, and we handle them.

If you live in a condominium or HOA community, we work within the approvals and rules your association sets, which differ from community to community.

The finish is careful: fixtures adjusted, glass set true, caulk lines clean and a walkthrough together before we call the room complete. When you are ready to begin, request a consultation or visit the showroom.

Questions homeowners ask

Can I replace my tub with a walk in shower?

Often, yes. It depends on the existing plumbing, the floor structure and the space available. Because it changes plumbing, this kind of work typically requires a permit, which we handle as the contractor.

Should I replace just the vanity or remodel the whole bathroom?

If the shower, tile and plumbing are sound, a new vanity, countertop, mirror and lighting can make a real difference. If there are signs of water damage or the layout no longer works, a full remodel is usually wiser. We look at the room with you before recommending either.

Do you build custom vanities?

Yes. We design and build custom vanities, and we also offer cabinetry lines shown in our showroom. Either way, the vanity is sized and planned for your room.

How long will my bathroom be out of use?

That depends on the scope and on lead times for materials such as tile, glass and fixtures. We plan the schedule once selections are made, and if you have only 1 bathroom we discuss how to keep disruption to a minimum.

Are there rules for remodeling a condominium bathroom?

Many associations require approval for plumbing work and set limits on working hours and noise. Rules vary by association, so we suggest asking your management office for its renovation guidelines early in planning.
